Terms of Use

App Store license

MoodyScope is licensed through Apple's App Store, not sold. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreementapplies to your license to use the app. These Terms add product-specific rules for the MoodyScope service. If a provision conflicts with mandatory law or Apple's applicable terms, the controlling requirement applies.

Who may use MoodyScope

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If local law requires parental or guardian consent, you may use MoodyScope only with that consent.

Your account

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting access to your account and device, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access. You may not impersonate another person or use an account you are not authorized to use.

Your journal content

You retain ownership of mood entries, prompt responses, and photos you provide. You grant MoodyScope a limited license to host, process, back up, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, sync, and support the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary backup or legal retention where required.

Wellness information is not medical advice

MoodyScope is a personal reflection tool, not a medical device. Wellness Scores, trends, prompts, and other information are not medical advice and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Do not ignore professional medical advice because of information in MoodyScope. If you may be experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use MoodyScope unlawfully or to violate another person's rights.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Interfere with, overload, probe, reverse engineer, or circumvent the service's security, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Upload malicious code or content you do not have the right to use.
• Use automated systems to scrape or abuse the service.

Third-party services

MoodyScope may rely on Apple Health, Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, Supabase, email providers, and other platform services. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. MoodyScope is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.

Availability and changes

We work to keep MoodyScope reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may be added, changed, suspended, or removed as the app evolves. We may release updates needed for compatibility, privacy, or security.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using MoodyScope or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, protect users or the service, comply with law, or enforce these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Intellectual property

MoodyScope's software, visual design, branding, app icon, prompt library, and other product materials are owned by MoodyScope or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of those materials.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoodyScope is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties not expressly required by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoodyScope and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as MoodyScope changes. Material changes will be reflected by the updated date on this page. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, except where law requires another form of notice or consent.
